OMAHA, NE — Velocity FC will visit Omaha this Wednesday in an opening week rematch that Spokane won 1-0 at home on March 15. This Wednesday’s kickoff is slated for 10:00 AM PT on SWX and ESPN+.
League One Standings
Spokane (12-7-3) is seventh in League One standings with 39 points but has played just 22 league matches, while every other club has played at least 24. A top-four finish is within reach, with Velocity FC five points behind fourth place Athletic Club Boise despite having played two fewer matches.
Union Omaha (16-6-4) has been contending for the Players Shield all season, with their 52 points tied with Charlotte Independence for first place. Both Omaha and Charlotte clinched playoff berths last weekend, with six spots still up for grabs with over a month left in the regular season.

Velocity FC will enter this match with over a week of rest, as their last contest was on September 5 against Sarasota Paradise. The tilt against Sarasota resulted in a 1-1 draw after Spokane midfielder Marky Hernández scored an equalizer in the 94th minute to earn a point on the road.
