USL Spokane’s May Community Kit Partners are Roberts Freebourn PLLC and Vanessa Behan
Each month, Spokane Velocity FC’s innovative Community Kit spreads community awareness on the front of player jerseys and in ONE Spokane Stadium. For the month of May, this community support is going to Vanessa Behan with the sponsorship support of Roberts Freebourn PLLC.
Vanessa Behan is a nonprofit organization dedicated to keeping kids safe, strengthening families and creating a healthier community in an environment of inclusion, authenticity and adaptability.
The Community Kit is a first of its kind front-of-kit sponsorship program that features a QR code on the front of the official club kit and throughout the stadium. When fans scan the QR code, they are taken to a website where they can learn more about the month’s organizations and make donations in support of the nonprofit. In addition, USL Spokane donates a portion of the sponsorship funds to the nonprofit at the end of the month.
Vanessa Behan has been a critical source of support for Spokane-area families since its founding in 1987. The organization offers 24-hour childcare for infants and children, parent education, crisis counseling for parents and referrals to other community agencies. Over the past 37 years, the organization has helped more than 100,000 children and their families.
“Vanessa Behan is privately funded,” said Amy Vega, Vanessa Behan Executive Director. “That means it is the innovation and partnership of everyone in this community that allows us to provide care to thousands of local children. The voice of the Community Kit will amplify our work to a broad audience.”

Spokane law firm Roberts Freebourn PLLC is the corporate sponsor for the May Community Kit. Roberts Freebourn is a litigation lawyer firm that focuses on business, real estate and employment disputes. Their mission is to provide people in Spokane with aggressive and balanced representation.
Along with their work, Roberts Freeborn is also passionate about giving back to the community and has been inspired by Vanessa Behan and their impact.
“We are most excited to be able to share Vanessa Behan’s mission and work with the community. We hope that once people learn more about the work they are doing, they will support them,” said Kevin Roberts, co-founder of Roberts Freebourn.
