Spokane Zephyr FC’s roster continues to take shape with the signing of outside back Shea Collins, pending league and federation approval.

Collins, 21, is from Boiling Springs, Pennsylvania, and divided her college career between two schools, LaSalle and James Madison. As a freshman at LaSalle, she started in all but one match, helped the Explorers record four shutouts and was an Atlantic 10 Conference All-Freshman Team selection.
She transferred to James Madison for her junior year, and that season she started 19 of 22 matches and scored three goals and five assists. As a senior in 2024, she started in 16 matches (playing in 22), scored four goals and six assists, including her first brace against Texas State in the Sun Belt Championship finals, and was named the Sun Belt Tournament’s Most Outstanding Player.
Collins joins Zephyr FC as the club gets ready for year two of Gainbridge Super League play. Interim head coach Josh McAllister said she brings the right combination of attitude and skills to the club.
“Shea aligns perfectly with the club’s values,” McAllister said. “She is a relentless worker, great teammate, and is able to play anywhere up the left side of the field. Her versatility and quality add depth to our team at both ends of the pitch.”
For her part, Collins is equally thrilled to be coming to the Inland Northwest.
“I’m excited to start my pro career with Spokane and be part of such a great team and environment,” she said. “The staff and players have been so welcoming already!”Zephyr FC begins play on Aug. 23 against Dallas Trinity FC in the Cotton Bowl. Road matches at DC Power FC and Brooklyn FC follow before the club comes home to ONE Spokane Stadium for the home opener against Fort Lauderdale FC on Sept. 6.
